Guide servises in town

Would you like to see the town and learn about its history? Are you organizing a tour or is there a group of visitors interested in a guided tour of the city centre? Contact the Tourist Information Centre (at least two weeks in advance) to book a guided tour.

TIC offers three guided tours, which differ in length. If you wish to see a historical sight which is not included in one of the tours we will be happy to add it to the list. The tour can include a visit to Hláska, which offers magnificent views of the town and its surroundings. You can book a tour in English or German.

For small groups we offer audio guides which are available in TIC, or you can download the application InCity. 

Guided tours

60-minute tour of the historical city centre (600 CZK / 800 CZK for a tour in foreign language)

Tour: Horní Square –Republiky Square – Rybí trh (Fish Market) – Ostrožná Street – Svobody Gardens – Masarykova Avenue – Sněmovní Street – Dolní Square

Sights: Hláska, Silesian Theatre, Co-cathedral of the Assumption of Virgin Mary,  Ptačí vrch (Birds’ Hill), Minorite Monastery and Church of the Holy Spirit,  Blücher and Sobek’s Palaces, Silesian Provincial Archive, St. Adalbert’s Church

90-minute tour of the historical city centre (800 CZK / 1000 CZK a tour in foreign language)
